A small step for TerraNomada...

Looking back at TerraNomada's first quarter online, we can say that we had some very successful months. First of all Elmer Jutte, a talented photographer and long-time friend, decided to join TerraNomada. Elmer Jutte is a tremendous asset for TerraNomada, bringing the total amount of photographs in our library to well over 10.000, with 700 online already. Elmer is responsible for this month's gallery: Indonesia (Bali) and an update of Myanmar (Burma) with Kyaiktiyo.

After the launch in February, the number of visitors hit the sky and we received lots of fabulous feedback. One of the reactions we received from Canada is published below. Furthermore the sale of fine art prints has increased substantially after some of our photographs were shown on a photo exposition at the City Hall of The Hague. In the second half of 2005 this exposition will move to Shanghai (China).

Have fun browsing through our photographs of Cambodia and Indonesia, two new galleries we have put online. Please provide us with feedback and share with us your thoughts of what you think are our best pictures. The site is updated every month with new material so visit regularly for new countries and photographs.

Thanks for reading.

This quarters highlights

Cambodia

There are few historical sites in Asia that can match the grandeur of the temples of Angkor. But Cambodia has more to offer than Angkor Wat alone. From splendid Phnom Penh to the isolated jungle villages of remote Mondulkiri in Eastern Cambodia. From rare freshwater dolphins in the mighty Mekong River around Kratie to the empty beaches at Sihanoukville on the Southern coast. Cambodia also has a darker side: The Killing Fields, where fragments of human bone and bits of cloth scattered around the graves, conjure up images of humanity at its worst.

Indonesia & Kyaiktiyo (Burma)

As part of the 5200km-long Indonesian archipelago, Bali is considered by many visitors true paradise on earth. From the popular tropical beaches of Kuta, the amazing art galleries of Ubud to the breathtaking rice fields of Iseh and Sidemen and the volcanic hillsides of Gunung Agung, Bali and its people welcomes you to explore the richness of this remarkable island and the deep rooted Hindu culture.

An update of the Burma gallery brings you magic and devotion at the incredible balancing boulder stupa in Kyaiktiyo.

What customers think of TerraNomada...

“… the pictures are mind blowing. I just keep going back again and again because they remind me so much of my own travels. I really feel that you have done a superb job with the website. You should be tremendously proud of your work because to be quite honest it is as good as I have ever seen. You have a tremendous eye which makes me wonder what the hell you are doing in telecom… Since your website is a labour of love and a long-term project I can only see great things ahead. I look forward to reading the next newsletter from TerraNomada. Keep it going.” P. Kondilis - Canada
