Pakse

Pakse is a relatively new town at the confluence of the Mekong River and the Se Don. Although mainly of interest to travelers as a point of departure for the Bolaven Plateau and Si Phan Don (Four Thousand Islands), the town itself offers interesting examples of French colonial-era buildings and excellent coffee.
